volleyball & valorant

I started playing volleyball in about grade 8; I've always been a really competitive person, and my passion for the sport led me to perform well at the club & school level.

Coming out of high school, I was given the opportunity to coach. I ended up coaching the 7Bs in 2025 and not too long ago I finished leading the 8Bs. Both of my teams ended up winning premierships, which I am proud of.

I really enjoying coaching young athletes - I've found that it's crucial that the basics of the game are solidifed early on - especially in a pubescent age group, where skill outweighs raw athletic ability. It's super rewarding when I'm able to foster a high performing environment and can witness the team develop collaboratively and achieve.

After my AIC boys' season finished, I sent a few emails to schools enquiring about more coaching opportunities. The QGSSSA girls' competition was approaching around this time, so I eventually landed a gig at the Brisbane Girls Grammar School, to which I'm now coaching the 7C and Senior C (mix of grade 11 and 12) girls teams.

I also recently competed in, and won the 'Intervarsity Bowl' at Griffith University, where I played in the Divison 1 Valorant esports team, representing UQ. I've competed semi-professionally in the game for a while, so being able to compete at an in-person tournament was heaps of fun.

High-level Valorant in Australia has a very small player base, so it was nice to see players that I've played against before online, in person.
